"My ending" was that he retired and bought the diner. Period. A lot of people disagree with me on that point and that's certainly OK. Many of you believe she was dead and definitely have the stats to back it up. That the movie means something different to so many people is part of the genius.
I don't think anyone is wrong or right. End it how you want to end it.
