The Affair Discovery and Recovery Forums exist mainly to promote the healing of betrayed partners, formerly unfaithful partners, women, men, husbands, wives, gays and lesbians whose primary emotional relationship has been affected by an affair, and to promote the rehabilitation of those relationships.
Our mission is:
1. To provide a “place” (website) for venting, sharing, and support in an open and non-judgmental atmosphere
2. To promote learning and knowledge about extra-marital affairs specifically and relationships in general
3. To assist people in finding their own solutions to relationship problems and issues without a particular bias
4. To sustain freedom of speech in an open atmosphere, for the discussion of ideas.
In furtherance of this mission, we promise:
1. To operate a linked set of free, anonymous, moderated, member-operated, online discussion forums (message boards) and chat rooms, each with a particular focus, for peer-to-peer support and encouragement of those affected by an affair
2. To recognize the “public trust” inherent in this venture and to conduct the business of this site in as open and transparent a manner as is practical, while maintaining the necessary safety and confidentiality of its participants
3. To promote the idea that this Internet site is run by and for the people who participate here every day
4. To ensure the long-term continuation of the site by renewing and refreshing the leadership group continuously.
