Moderators are selected by the following procedure:
(1) each moderator/administrator nominates three or more candidates
(2) a list of all nominees is posted
(3) each mod/admin may veto one nominee without explanation
(4) a revised list of nominees is posted
(5) discussion
(6) each mod/admin provides a secret ballot via email to the designated "forum owner". The ballot consists of a ranking of all nominees on the revised list
(7) the forum owner asks the nominee with the highest "rank" to accept appointment. If the offer is rejected, then the moderator with the second highest "rank" will then be asked to moderate, etc.; If more than one moderator is needed, repeat until the desired number of moderators have been selected.
