I'm sure many of you wonder sometimes why this core group of "veterans" is so close. One reason is that, like you, many of us were going through the initial stages at the same time, so we "connected".

There's another factor, however, that I think played a big role.... Chatting in the forum chatroom.

In that chatroom, we shared, laughed, cried, talked of dreams and nightmares, and built a rapport that many of us don't even have with our own family members. I was the chat room bartender, pouring drinks for one and all.

Anyways, I just wanted to let you know there is a chat room here. Two of them, as a matter of fact. One is only for BS (the safe place, we call it), that is linked to this forum and the Further forum.

The other chat room is the Open chat room, where everyone is free to meet and cyber party..

Please, make us of these chatrooms. If you're hanging around doing nothing, pop into the chatroom and wait. Some people check these boards a few times a day, and if they see that someone is in chat, they usually pop in there.

You can even post a thread saying something like, "Need to talk, I'm in chat".

Or post a thread telling people what time and day you'll be in the chat room and invite your friends to join you there.

It's there, so why not make use of it?

Thanks Cory. I had tried a couple of times to get on chat, but evidently didn't stay on long enough. This whole forum/chat thing is new to me.

Would love to get "connected" with some of the new people, or anyone, for that matter. There is so much wisdom here. My WS and I both have gained invauable knowledge.

I specifically remember two conversations... The one where I learned that the term "fanny" in Oz has a different meaning that what we think of here in the states... (Fanny Farmer Cookbook... LOL).

On a more serious note... I remember the person coming into chat, who told us about his W, how he knew OM, and was heading over to OM's place to kill him. That was a VERY scary time. At the same time, we were trying to talk this guy down and sending private message back and forth, trying to figure out what we could do, if there was a way to trace where he was, both of us afraid to leave the chat room...

We never did find out the end result on that... I think we were able to calm him down. At least, I HOPE we did.
