I'm with Carol. Around here, when someone asks "How are you?" and you reply, "SOS", it's a given that it means "Same Old Sh*t"
SSDD is also acceptable - Same Sh*t, Different Day

SOS, "Sh!t on Shingle" is also a delicacy originating in the military. Maybe we should save that for Food Friday.
