"Don't Mistake Me"

I heard the best song on Grey's Anatomy last week. After some serious searching, I finally found it - and the lyrics. It's by Keisha White and it's called, "Don't Mistake Me". I love it! It may be my new anthem.

Don't Mistake Me

Life can push you
It's all about just choosing the way
Might sometimes rush you,
Leaves you looking for yesterday
So many reasons for looking for freedom
By living life and learning each day
There'll always be questions
That stay left un-answered,
But I work it out all the way,
There's no time to grieve or feel sad about it
So left with only one thing to say

[Chorus:]
If you wanna see a broken heart
Try looking in another place
If you think it could be torn apart
Try looking in another face

But don't mistake me for somebody
Who's hung up on you

Love can steal you
Can hide the key and lock you away
So many people don't ask the right questions
There's always someone else there to blame
There's no time to grieve or feel sad about it
So left with only one thing to say

[Chorus]

So don't mistake me for somebody
Don't you take me for anybody
Don't confuse me with nobody
Who's hung up on you

[Chorus:]
If you wanna see a broken heart
Try looking in another place
If you think it could be torn apart
Try looking in another face
[Repeat 'Til End..]

My yesterdays are all boxed up - and neatly put away.

Here's a joke for ya Mon.

A man and his wife are dining at a table in a plush restaurant, and the husband keeps staring at a drunken lady swigging her gin as she sits alone at a nearby table.

The wife asks, "Do you know her?"

"Yes," sighs the husband, "She's my ex-wife. She took to drink right after we divorced seven years ago, and I hear she hasn't been sober since."

"Bless her heart!" says the wife,
"Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?"

ROFL!! I love it, Tex. The woman she's sitting with, celebrating? That's me.
