Hey Jean I was just reading one of your posts and I think we are in the same line of work!! Do you think anyone else has cottoned on to it? Funny thing is since this has happened all my pals at work have been really supportive and many have actually cornered me and said 'Ive been there mate, any time you want to talk',this career has a lot to answer for! Obviously Ive just done my four day stint when life basically stops for work, and it looks like Ive missed a bit,what has happened with Sandy?

Yep, it sounds like maybe we are. I do six on and then four off. Life is about to start in the am again for me as I come off onto the four off! Makes sense to some!!! Although sleep tomorrow is a rare commodity too much to get done.
As to what has gone on with Sandy I am not so sure really I think perhaps, as can be the case with the written word, a misunderstanding has developed. I believe Sandy was also uncomfortable with her having to hide somewhat her time here from her H. Its a shame but her reasons are her own and she is completely entitled to them.

Sorry for the delay,Im back on my four off now,Sad to see Sandy go, she was quite a character she shouldnt have to hide anything from the FWS! I dont! This site is one of the factors that has helped me get through it,making me smile/frown/laugh all in the same viewing! With regard to our profession,Im not getting much help from my management at the moment even though it could drastically affect the way we operate (OM being ex-friend/colleague, universally despised by everyone where we work now) I just think its so political for them they wish it could go away, the upshot of which I could find myself moving bases through no fault of my own, they are bloody useless!!

HI, seems like we work complete opposite shifts! I am on my last day off and heading back to my first of six tomorrow 7 am start. At least it should be quiet being Sunday morning!
Yes, hard that Sandy felt the need to keep the peace with WS but each to their own I guess.
I beleive she has left her mobile with Quin for me but I have been having terrible problems with my computer so not able to get to my email it is driving me nuts the computer problesm one more thing to try and then the blasted thing is going out the window! and I will try to get something sorted with a new one my laptop is all very good but not the bees knees!
Management have been excellent with me. Of course the problem has not been connected to anyone at my work place but the support I have had from them has been first class. The welfare dept in particular have been astounding. In fact all my counselling so far has been paid for by the company. I had 10 sessin with a counsellor and 15 so far with a therapist. I start to paya the therapist myself from next week - if my private medical insurance won't pick up the bill they are still debating that. I could not have managed through without the direct and indirect support of the depts and a couple of managers in particular. I am so sorry you are not getting the help you need in that area.

Nice to see there are some decent SMTs out there,glad youre doing ok,the job here have paid for me to see a counsellor too and I had my first session on Friday, it was good and theyve arranged five more,BUT the personnel manager and a CI have arranged a heavy session with me a fedrep on Wed about the whole scenario relating to work and I think ill just be offered a swift move to Downing St or something,they dont seem to see that it will cause uproar amongst my team!! take care and keep in touch, Jon

Just checking in again windering how you are doing? Still having the problems with my computer so can't get to the site as much as I would like/need. I have high hopes of my new computer being delivered this wekend it will be great to get logged on at home again, I am limited with time and what I can post through work.
Also I have tried dial up to my AOL account via my laptop but STBX is being a pain and keeps booting me off line (he holds the master account ID) so I can't always sustain a connection(hmm thats sounds so close to a male personal problem hahahaha)Sorry my warped and twisted sense of humor coming through!
So how are you doing? Is the counselling going well for you. Drop me an email hopef ully in a day or so I should be able to pick it up!
