Thanks Cindy.

Here's to all the moms who have endured an affair while pregnant and tending to children.

what about just saying, here is to all the mum's and hoping you have a nice day today, regardless of the past, present or unseen future.

today is a day to reflect on being a mum.

happy mum's day to all. mine is closing but today i played on my computer, got gorgeous hand made cards from my boys, (they are 17 and 12) the youngest ones card declares me to be a WWE women's champion!! which i am taking as a compliment.

i also did washing, cooked dinner, drank champagne that my ex husband, the father of my children, bought me and then went to visit my dad. this is our first mum's day without mum who died on 15 march.

so it has been an interesting day.

hugs your mums and for those of us who are mum's do the washing and hug your kids, physically or in thought

I had a lovely day with my two youngest kids, their SO's, and the Grands. I chose to create a "new tradition" for us by making a (yummy, if I do say so myself LOL) brunch. We ate a huge meal, exchanged our Mom day gifts (I also gave one to my son for early Father's Day since I won't be here), and lounged around the house for a quiet (NOT with a 3 and nearly 2 year old running around!) day together. I took my Grands for a walk around the neighborhood, oohing and aaahing over all the trees and flowers, and we barked back at the dogs barking from their yards (GrandBumbies said "Granna, we're talking to them"). The Grands and I drew pictures, which are proudly hanging on my fridge now...and the kids and I talked about some of their future plans. It was such a wonderfully peaceful day...no stress...no tension...very little sadness (only a fleeting moment or two)...Just a joyful time with my Babes and their Babes. I loved it.....

till the bird sh!t on my head while the kids and I stood out in the backyard...right after my shower, too...dripped down the front of my tank, and spattered on my arm and daughter's hand. Waaaay gross, but totally made my son's day...I haven't seen him laugh that hard in ...I don't know how long. So...even that wasn't a total loss...Another shower...change of clothes...I was good to go again. And you know what? Even though it was waaay gross, it was pretty funny...and worth it to see my kids laughing and poking at each other like little ones again...all cause mom got sh!t on!

Ain't life grand! (Laughing heartily!!)

Love being a mom,

Cindy
