Well I am one proud papa, my two sons aged 8 and 9 just recently achieved the yellow belt in Judo!

I am hoping they will make martial arts part of their entire life

Hearty congratulations to your two boys, James. If Cory is any example (which is extremely doubtful), you have good reason to be proud.

Not sure if I should be taking that as a compliment or not...

James, congrats to your two boys! Like you, my wish is that martial arts will become not something they just "do", but a way of life for them.

So when is Dad going to start lessons?

Sorry, but.....

I did Judo for a year, and even with shin pads, ended up with permanent bruises on my legs. So being vain, I gave it up. As I'm not vain now, I could start again, but as my legs are covered in varicose veins (can't be vain now!) I think it's best I don't. Best wishes to your boys, though, it's a good activity - the gentle way - and teaches them decency in thoughts as well as actions.
