Well, they SAY it's summer here!! It will soon be the midsummer's day - 21 June - the longest day, gets light at about 4.30am and doesn't get dark til around 10.00pm. I'm in the south west of England, near Bristol. We're having a couple of sunny days followed by a couple of cloudy days. The best was 73 degrees and sunny. Very pleasant, not humid. I remember the humidity from Australia, and it's awful. I sympathise with you! I can handle a dry heat, but I hate it when you feel sticky all the time - get up in the morning, have a shower, get dressed, and you're sweating again. Yuk.
It sure doesn't feel like summer here in Washington state... We had an unusually warm and dry winter, then it started raining around the first of March, and has rained almost every day since then! Sure, we've had a few days here and there that were dry and warm, but those were the exceptions.
Forecast for this week? Whadda ya think? Low 60's and RAIN!
Out of the next five days four will thunder showers, in the 60's. This rain is about to drive me batty, and I'm close enough as it is. I kinda liked the heat in Tx. When I returned home at ten at night, I was FREEZING.
For the past week, the average was around 30(sorry, I don't know the conversion), muggy and humid. Hot enough for you? I love this weather, remind me of home.
It's been about 90F to 95F here for almost two weeks now. The humidex has pushed the temperature to 100F. I love this weather...especially since you have a great reason to eat ice cream EVERY DAY!!!

Here in northern MN we have had so much rain that everyone is pretty depressed. We are a tourist area and with nothing but rain, rain, rain people cannot even go fishing, much less get their lawns mowed. We are turning into the rain forest. My furnace continues to run because temps are in 60s or lower. We are waiting for that one summer day when we oil the snowplows, but so far no go.

LOL. Indoors, or outdoors, Kat? (I know it's finally "hot" when there's no difference between inside the plant and outdoors. Most of the year, my work environment is 80-85 and 100 percent humidity.)
I'm going to turn my AC off tonight (it's been on for ten days now) since a cool, dry air mass has pushed through.
Well 93 degrees but the heat index was 103 and boy were we feeling it. After Tae Kwon Do the boys and I went swimming for a bit and it felt real good :>)
Oh, one of my sons made black belt tonight, pretty exciting :>)
we have the most rain in 38 years, i aint summer here, that is for sure, mind you the rain is good, our damns are only at 25% capacity so we need the water
It's hot here. The kids have been swimming for a few weeks now. We've had a couple of bad storms this past week and some major wind damage on our trees. Anyone need firewood?

Congratulations to your son Charlie. That's an accomplishment to be proud of.

I was just there and it was hot. I stepped out of the car and thought yep......this is Texas.
I start a family vacation today and the sun is shining for the first time in days...is this a good omen or what? It is just beautiful here in MN, one of those "From the Land of Sky Blue Waters" days. Amen.
RW: We need to compare locations, is there a way to email? I'm out of email range for the next five days though....
It is summer in Southern IL. EEEEGADS, complete with 90% humidity and heat. Today was nice, in the mid 80s and not so stinkin' humid. It's been warm, off and on for a month. Last month when it was really hot and my AC was on the blink, my mom said, "Get a fan!" I said, "Yeah, so it's like standing in front of the dryer vent!"
Charlie - How old is your son? My new guy is a 4th degree black belt and instructor. I'm amazed at the things they teach them!!
