I am starting a new thread since the previous one was going to the 'bugs'

You already have frost on the pumkins?? we are still clocking 95+ down here in lovely humid North Carolina....the hummers (humming birds) are still around, and some of my matoes are still green... I am not complaining... just stating facts LOL... I would be utterly miserable if I were to live - again - in mountains and snow 6/7 months out of the year...done that in my early 20's and I am sure the warmth we needed then was not always provided by just stoking a fire.... but maybe drinking it?? lol....

No frost yet kats but we have been very close.

August usually is quite beautiful right into September, but of course I am on holidays starting next week for 2 weeks and they are calling for cold and rain.

July was above average hot for us. We had more days over 35C than is normal for us and overall was a beautiful month with little rain, but high humidity. The humidity seems to have been hovering close to the 100% mark forever now. I can tell since my head feels like it could split apart at any second. Damn migraines! The good news with the lower temps and getting some rain is that humidity will drop off and kimmies head will return to normal

Although im not sure I would trade for the high 90's your getting, sun and high 80's certainly seems tempting.

We've been having rain. Some lows in the 60's at night, and high 70's during the day. It makes me ready for Fall. I'm ready to see the frost on the pumpkin.  Tired of summer and hot weather.

Well I think some leaves are starting to change here Kats. It is in the high 60's and that is about as good as it gets lol

110!!! Woweee Im sooo jealous. But the only thing that would make 110 feel good is a lovely pool like the one in texas and some nice iced drinks and maybe a handsome pool boy

No Kid.... not blazing hot any longer... in a rather comfortable mid to hi 80's... with low nites temps. You can tell Fall is knocking... the light, that extraordinary brillant light that NC can have is changing by the day. Oddly enuff we need rain lol.... the Fall foliage this year may not be as beautiful if we don't get rain now

I guess this Northern girl needs to read up on your geography more. Thanks for the lesson. LOL. We are going to Atlantic Beach I think it is called. Thank God I know how to get there. I am leading the pack. It is 83 degrees here today and no humidity with a slight breeze in the air. Just a beautiful day.

This song by George Strait made me think of you and Charlie and Monica etc. and how far you've all come.
Congratulations ladies.

She Let Herself Go

He wondered how she'd take it when he said goodbye.
Thought she might do some cryin': lose some sleep at night.
But he had no idea, when he hit the road,
That without him in her life, she'd let herself go.

(Chorus)
Let herself go on a singles cruise,
To Vegas once, then to Honolulu.
Let herself go to New York City:
A week at the Spa; came back knocked-out pretty.
When he said he didn't love her no more,
She let herself go.

She poured her heart an' soul into their three-bedroom ranch.
Spent her days raisin' babies, ironin' his pants.
Came home one day from the grocery store and found his note,
And without him there to stop her, she let herself go.

Let herself go on her first blind-date:
Had the time of her life with some friends at the lake.
Let herself go, buy a brand new car,
Drove down to the beach he always said was too far.
Sand sure felt good between her toes:

(Chorus)
She let herself go on a singles cruise,
To Vegas once, then to Honolulu.
Let herself go to New York City:
A week at the Spa; came back knocked-out pretty.
When he said he didn't love her no more,
She let herself go.

To Vegas once: Honolulu, New York City.
Came back knocked-out pretty
