Day of introspection? hmmm, don't think so... Day of remembrance?? Yupe....

Today is the OC's b'day. One would think after 8 years, (he is turning 8 today) I would get 'used' to it... In a way I am, soooo, why I am here today?? I remember - and I cringe at my 'stupidity' and at the monstrous lies which were served to me then.

Thanksgiving was very good, family, friends, food, laughters... and ...the 'let down' of this b'day. It happens every year ... and every year when my H leaves to go and visit I am reminded of THAT time... and I wish for a memory lobotomy.

And the latest news her H shared with mine - OW is pregnant with her 3rd child... could not help it when I heard... my 'bitchy' side took over and I asked laughing: who is the father this time??? Shame on me LOL..... NOT

Mamma Kat, I'm sorry that you are having a tough day. But, you know better than me that this too will pass. Can't you make "big" plans for yourself on these days?

Thanks H2. These kind of days are MINE. If I feel like killing myself cleaning my kitchen I do... if I don't or after I am finished cleaning (lol) I focus on myself, read a good book, get in the zone doing whatever. There is no escape, and after all it is just a day... albeit 'special' day and those too pass...

To be picky, I don't think there is a soul here who would think that. You're a strong woman, Kat.

And the day went VERY well.... I had a surprise visit from an old girlfriend who was in the neighborhood... really... her crew was fishing at the lake (up the road a piece ),we had tea, and talked about life in general... It was an 'angel' visit.... we used to work together and see each other sporadically...

One never know what a day can bring ... when you are not wishing for anything...
