but i do not believe that you really eat real beaver tails, no way, that is almost as odd as us eating kangaroos and emus hahaha. are they real beaver tails or something that just looks like it??
oh and good to see your house is white, good camoflage haha, actually you house looks nice and cosy. is it dangerous having an electric cord in the wall with all that snow around, or do you ahve an electric shovel haha, now that could be an invention haha
Oh yeah of little faith lol......the extension cord is for plugging in my car (ie the block heater)
Cars don't start well when it is -30 unless the oil is heated a bit and actually is still liquified. Probably not wise to have it plugged in with all the snow, but hey what else does one do?
I won't rub it in too much, but it's forecasted to be about 70F/21C in the San Francisco area today. I just don't know if I could do an eight-month Canadian Winter. B-R-R-R-R-R!
Misha, my friend is in San Diego, he says the Santa Anas are blowing today and it's pretty nice... but his friend called from SanFran today and said it was "pretty as a postcard" - 73 degrees, sunny and crisp. Lucky dogs!
HERE... in Southern Illinois, we're getting SNOW. 3" so far (you know, of the "flurries" they predicted for tday!) and there is no sign of it stopping.
Kim... the snow that's stuck on your house, was it REALLY that high (up by the windows) or was that part of a drift? THAT is CRAZY!!
Monica
This is your life. Are you who you want to be? ~ Switchfoot
That would be a combination of part drift, part snowblower stream from the last snowfall. I am a little wild with the snowblower
Actually the picture was taken last year. This year we have way more snow than that.......the pile on either side makes my fence and side of the house invisible (at least below the windows)....more predicted tonight.
Evidently Kid missed the news item about January being the warmest January ever in the Lower 48. In my city, we had three 60-degree days, one of which was in the first few days of the month. I don't think we've had even one 24-hour period where the temperature stayed below freezing since Jan. 1.
The mountain you see in the distance is what makes Thunder Bay special. We call it Sleeping Giant for its look and shape and we have many slogans for Thunder Bay such as we have a Giant Heart. The picture is actually of Lake Superior (our harbourfront) but during the winter it is frozen toward the shore. Farther out after the lighthouse and breakwall there is water flowing as the "whole" lake doesn't turn to ice in winter. Soon the ice choppers will come in and break up the ice so that shipping season can begin.
