Your post reminded me of this poem. Not sure whey but since my jokster uncle showed me this during my childhood, it sort of stuck
The Bird (author unknown)
The sun was shining brightly,
And I could hardly wait
To ponder out my window
And gaze at my estate.
The breeze was blowing briskly,
and it made the flowers sway.
The garden was enchanting
On this inspiring day.
I spied a little bird
With a beautiful yellow bill.
I beckoned him to come and light
Upon my window sill.
I smiled at him so sweetly
And gave him a crust of bread
Then I quickly closed the window,
And smashed his Gosh Darned head.
We have some pretty nice weather here today too.
