I haven't been reading as much lately due to exam week. I may have missed your post but was wondering how you were doing? How did the test results come out?
So far they haven't found anything wrong. They are doing more tests next week as I have an appt with an ear specialist. My doctor has looked at the CT scan and isn't concerned with it. I haven't had a chance to get in to see her to see it myself tho.
I was at the eye doctor and she thoroughly examined my eyes and doesn't see a problem. So that is a blessing
All very positive signs so far that it is likely some annoying ear problem.
Jean they have mentioned that as a possible option. I feel better now but still get that feeling now and then like it is starting all over again. I have had these episodes about 4-5 times now and sometimes they last for weeks at a time. Other times in a few days the major symptoms are gone.
I am a bit stressed today since my doctor's office phoned and stated she wanted to see me this week (I go Friday). I hadn't actually got the results from my CT scan but had assumed since 2 months has passed that the results must be okay. Now I am wondering why the emergency appointment........things that make you go hmmmmm. Will let you know on Friday what I found out. I tried to get it out of the receptionist but of course she said you need to see the doctor......Huuuumphhhh I HATE that.
Maybe they found a pair of scissors, a wrench, screw loose etc in my head .......have you ever seen the show on how many things they leave in you after operating lmao
When I was young I shoved cotton batton really far up my nose........My mom finally took me to the emerg because I stunk so bad nobody could stand me!! Don't try this at home!!!!! Anyway.....the dr supposedly got it all but I have had trouble with my sinuses for years now.
p.s. i just keep telling myself that everything is fine.....if I say it enough it will be true!

Although this is hard, try not to jump to too many conclusions. When my son with a disability was getting diagnosed, they checked him for Cystic Fibrosis, Luekemia and a billion other life threatening diseases and made me wait for weeks for the results. It really freaked me out. Thankfully it was something genetic and not something that would end his life. I am still grateful for that!
Kid, you're in my thoughts. I'm taking off this afternoon, will catch up on Sunday night. I hope the doctor sits you down and says, "Here's a shot, this will cure it for you".

Some things in life are problems. Most are inconveniences. Knowing the difference is wisdom.
Hi Kid! Hope you get good news tomorrow!!! I had to laugh about the part when you were younger & stuffed the cotton ball up your nose. I know what you mean about the smell! When my 10 yr. old was younger she stuck packing foam up her nose. We didn't know it, & the smell was awful. It took 3 trips to the Dr.. & a round of antibiotics that didn't work before the dr. found the foam stuck way up there! What a smell!!! Then one time my son stuck a bead up his nose. We knew about that. My H took a straw & sucked it out!! No Dr. trip that time!
Glad to make you laugh Kid! I had forgotten about it until you mentioned your nose story.Parenting sure presents us with some strange situations. I was taking care of one of my new daycare kids last week. It was his first nite(he's almost 2) & I was changing his messy diaper. Imagine my surprise when I noticed the poop was kind of a neon blue color. No Lie! I mentioned it to the parent when she picked him up & she laughed & said he had eaten a Kid Cuisine t.v. dinner the day before & it had bright blue fruit snacks in it. Funny!!!
A few of you had asked me to post how things are...so I had my doctors appointment today.
There apparently is something showing in the CT scan that cannot be quite made out as it is a bit fuzzy so they don't want to confirm whether there is or is not something there.
They are scheduling me for an MRI next. The wait list in TBay was at almost 2 years, but is apparently down to a couple months now.
I asked the doctor if I should be concerned about this and her comment was it is too early to tell. Gotta love asking a question you never really get an answer to........
I am not sure I would know what to do with a calm, peaceful, healthy, normal life.....sigh.
Thanks for the update! Sorry that you have to go through more tests but hopefully you'll have some answers soon. You are in my thoughts & prayers. My 10 yr. old has a rare form of epilepsy called Infantile Spasms. She started having seizures when she was 5 months old. I had to give her daily steriod shots for a couple of months. It's not like a regular form of epilepsy. 30% die before they're 3, 30% end up severly retarded, 30 % end up mildly retarded & only 10 % come out fine. We we're told that she probably wouldn't live & if she did we would have to put her in an institution. she regressed to where she couldn't even wiggle her toes & just stared off into space. She didn't even recognize me, my H or her siblings. No smiles, no nothing. Anyway, she fooled everybody by age 3. They called her a miracle kid. She'll be 11 on the 26th & she's pretty normal. So, I guess my point is to try to hang in there & hopefully you will receive some good news soon. We're here for you!!!!!!
