Freecycle

Thought I would let you guys know of a great worldwide organization divided into local groups. It's a way to give away unwanted stuff & to also ask for something for free. I have belonged to the local group for a short time now. It's free to join. Your first post must be an offer of something for free, & then you may ask for something. You'd be surprised at what is given away! The website is www.Freecycle.org. I just gave away a pair of baseball cleats & am now going to ask & see if anyone has a VCR. Mine died & the daycare kids miss watching the kid videos every now & then. Anyway, check it out! It's great for people on a budget or people looking to get rid of unwanted items!!

I've been doing freecycle for a couple of years now.  Haven't checked it out lately because I've been so busy.

I have given away many items and I have also received clothes for my children (including 3 absolutely beautiful dresses for my daughter) and other items.  I even asked for help with hanging up some light fixtures at freecycle and got a couple of fellas who came and did it  -- free, of course!   I also gave them some flourescent lighting fixtures.

Freecycle is a really great.

Jean

Gee Carol, I don't know. Hadn't really thought of what the ad would look like! Let's see:" Time to clear out the rubbish". "Used middle aged male, needs a new owner who is willing to keep a tight leash on him & is smart enough to know that he has roamed once & is not to be trusted"."Once you take him, he's yours.""I don't want him back in my yard".
