Wow RW...thank you!  I am going to pass this on to all the moms I know.  There is one in our area, but not near my house. He is however in our delivery area at the pizzeria.

Take Care...Carol~

I think this needs to be added to the MISC link section.

I don't have kids but I checked out of curiosity and there are over 200 when I stopped clicking "next" at the M's within 5 miles.

Check and pass it on. Be aware and informed.

Tex

Well, there's one on my street -- I've known about him for a while.  And there are several that live or work within several blocks of my house.....

There are none in or very near to my area.

My daughter and granddaughter are absolutely flanked with child sex offenders where they live in Austin, TX.

BLECCCH!

September 6 2006, 7:04 PM

There are 19 in my little town (8000). ONE lives a block and a half away, but on the map, his little blip was nearly IN my house! That's just icky. Eight of THEM live within one mile of me... and I live .09 miles from the high school. Gads.

Thanks for the heads up, RW.

Monica

My yesterdays are all boxed up - and neatly put away.

Just to introduce a little caution here.

In some states (mine is one) someone convicted of "indecent exposure" can be on a sex-offender list. Now, most of those convictions used to be of drunks urinating in a public place. To me, there's a significant difference between a convicted child molester and a convicted drunk and that may be why there are so many people on some state registries.

In this case, erring on the side of caution produces a ridiculously "scary" result.

Chris.
