I am starting Grad school tomorrow. I have contemplated this for several years, but never felt the timing was right. With both kids in school full-time now...I decided to take the plunge.
I am a bit scared. It's a statistics course. It meets from 8:30-5:30. I hope the Professor is at least a little entertaining. However, my reasoning says that anyone who teaches stats for a living might be rather dry .
It only meets every other Saturday, so how bad could it be? Ha!
Outside of a couple of writing teachers, my college stats professor was one of my favorites. At the time, that surprised me somewhat, too! Teaching really is a gift and he had it. And besides, he was just a really interesting and kind fellow.
How was your first marathon Stats class, Laurie? Wow, I thought 3 hours a week was hellish for Stats, I can't imagine spending a perfectly good ENTIRE Saturday in the class!

My yesterdays are all boxed up - and neatly put away.
Ok. Tolerable, but only because there was a young girl (20ish) who sat in front of me and helped me with the computer part. The Professor was Ok. The Greek letters and math equations were making me feel foreign. Then this 20 something guy walks in and sits beside me 4 hours into the class. I try to catch him up to speed and in the process get behind. He looked a little "stoned". Turns out he was an undergrad and in the wrong class. That was after I spent an hour helping him. Go figure!
I was glad I went. It meets 6 more times. He let us out early this week, but from here on out we are there ALL day!!
