How are you???

Don't see you posting that often and haven't met you in chat in a while. Just checking to make sure your dimples are still showing?

Thanks for caring Your a sweetheart. I haven't been on quite as much lately because I've been taking a C++ programming class (the second one) and skipped the prerequisite since I had regular C, 9 years ago - I'm afraid it's changed quite a bit Programming is NOT easy when you've skipped a class and it's killing me trying to catch up on some of the old stuff as well as the new and Linked lists/classes/structs, etc. and the pointers to them are quite confusing (if anyone on here understands all this by all means contact me!!) I spent the entire day in the computer lab today trying to write another program that is due tomorrow. I did manage to get a 100% on the first lab but it takes me a darned long time.

That class along with 2 others (including a tyrant for a teacher in International Business) and it will do me in for the semester. Sorry for the complaints, my brain is fried and I just haven't had a whole lot of value to add here lately when I've already looked at a computer screen all day

How are you Kid? I was wondering about your diagnosis.

I am doing fine, just battling a bit of a cold right now, but it is going away finally.

Nothing new to report on the MS front, other than I did get confirmation from a neurologist in town that I do have it. I have a spinal MRI at the end of November and another neurologist appt on Dec 11th. I am going to ask him to refer me to an MS clinic in Southern Ontario for a second opinion. I should be able to get down to Toronto/London area around January or February. I am going to refuse drug treatment until the second opinion. I just don't have the kind of money these drugs cost and I have looked into every option I could think of and came up with nothing to help so far. Although the drug companies do indicate they "may" be able to help but won't talk to me until after I have a prescription IN HAND for their specific medication.

The days are flying by. I am going on a work trip to Ottawa (our big Nation's Capital) on Nov 4-10th. I booked some extra time (Sat/Sun) to do a little sightseeing/shopping as well and since I am flying in on a Saturday I ended up saving the government so much in flight that they are paying for my extra night hotel and meals. (amazing what a cheap accountant and a Sat night stay over can do )
I need that little piece of serenity and me time!!

Otherwise things are same old same old!

Glad to hear from you. I took C+++ programming in College -me and it didn't get on well. Good job it was only one small part of a computer class.

Goodluck catching up!! Glad to know everything is going okay

Hopefully if you do have to pay for those drugs for MS, the drug company can help you get a better deal. I know that must be difficult.

Hang in there. If you ever find yourself down this way, we should do a girls night out - we both need it!!!

Right now it is very bitter here and has been snowing non-stop for 2 days. Nothing is really accumulating too much thankfully. Just brrrrrrrrrr!!!

SNOW? Already?! Did you skip "Fall", Kim?! It's pretty dang cold here today, too - but it should be in the 60s-70s again this weekend. The leaves are just turning and it's really gorgeous!

Monica

My yesterdays are all boxed up - and neatly put away.

We have been hovering around the low 30's since sometime last week. Yeppers we skipped fall. You have to remember that leaves start turning here in the beginning of September. September to mid October is usually our fall. This year winter hit a bit early. We are all surprised and looking at the upcoming temps I am not sure if we will get a reprieve or not.

I had to break out my winter jacket today. Now that sucked! I didn't turn my heat on until October 1st though because it was really beautiful until then.

If your in MN than I am only about 5 hours north west of you. Yes it has been snowing since Tues evening. Thankfully not too much is staying though. The lake appears to be protecting us right now.
