You're too kind. Ya know how to make an old lady feel good. Anyway, I want about three more huskies, but I'll have to move. I want to buy some land and build them an indoor kennel that has air conditioning, a big screen TV, and a big bed so I can cuddle them and watch movies.
You took my breath away! I put my last (of four) siberian huskies to sleep in May and I still miss her sooooooo much. All huskies think they are royalty, didn't you know? My cat lady friend says that the old saw that applies to cats - they were once worshipped and they never forgot - also applies to huskies. Hug a husky for me TLMM. Oh and roooo rooo rrooooooo! (For non-husky people: huskies don't bark, they go rooo rooo sort of a howling noise)
Sorry to hear about your Fur Princess. Did you see the movie 8 Below?
I love animals and especially dogs, but huskies are amazing.
Taiga, my girl husky has special meaning to me. I had wanted a husky for about 15 yrs., but my H refused to let me have one. One Valentine's Day, after D-day, I came home from a week-end at the coast, (thinking that I was going to leave), and when I walked in the front door, there she was; this little, furry, frightened baby. Well they captured me crying, and laughing for about 5 min. on video. My X was wonderful at times.
Sigh
I will give Spectre and Taiga a big hug and rub from Misha.
El bano e molto vecchio y pericoloso. Translation- the bath is hot and dangerous. ( One of the lines in the play.)
The review comes out next week, if it's good I'll post it. HA HA
Actually, so far, I ROCK. My best friend told me she forgot she was watching me, and a lady today asked me if I was Italian. Yeah, right just call me Sofia Loren. HAHA
MM, no way, you're MUCH cuter than that hag Sophia...
No comments about me being blind, I KNOW you're thinking that.. LOL
The only Italian I know is the words to the first verse of the Italian love song, "O Sole Mio". I sang it in Madrigal Chorus, back in high school. Next time we all get together, and if enough alcohol is involved, you can try to convince me to sing it... LOL
The only Italian I hear now is from the people at our local pizza place. It's usually something like, "Ay, mista madonall, 'bout 20 minut".

I'm going to have a cast party here Nov. 5th. Trying to think up a dinner menu. So far I know what dessert is, marionberry/peach crumble with vanilla gelato. It will be for about 16 people. I think doing a large pan of lasagne, and spinach manicotti for the vegeterians, a big salad and garlic bread might be easier than a bunch of finger foods.
First off, I would go with a big pan of baked ziti and sausage. You can add a couple of different cheeses to the mix and it comes out tasting like lasagna, just much less prep time involved that way.
Second, here's a Cory original recipe for a great, spicy soup. I call it PortuWop Soup, as the two main ingredients are Italian and Portugese... Hope you have a big soup pot.... LOL
Two big cans of chicken broth (or 4 bullion cubes)
Two big cans of beef broth (or 4 bullion cubes)
Two, 1 pounds bags of either cheese or meat tortellini (I use the meat)
Two pounds of Chourico, a spicy Portugese sausage
Onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasonings (about two tablespoons each)
PREP: Pre-cook the tortellinis, drain and set aside. Slice the chourico in half lengthwise, then slice into smaller bites (about 1/3 - 1/2 inch thickness)
Toss everything into the pot, and add water until a 2 gallon soup pot is about 3/4 full. Bring to a boil, then simmer covered about 45 minutes to an hour. Give it a stir every 10 minutes or so. The spices from the chourico cook into the broth and the tortellinis. It ends being a bit spicy, but not at all overpowering.
Yields about 1 1/2 gallons of soup, plenty for everyone!

Did you go on that trip? I might need to move up the mountain where we get more snow, if I get more huskies. They like to watch 8 Below. haha
Did you ever see that PBS special about the couple that went and lived with wolves. They went and lived outside the wolves territory documenting their social life. Then they moved into the wolves terrritory.
Some amazing shots of the wolves licking and nuzzling these people. It was beautiful and AWESOME.
Thanks for the recipe, Cory. Can you come out and help me with it? Dress up in a buttlers outfit. Yes I know I spelled butler wrong. haha. It is one of the outfits with the ass missing. haha

MM, something tells me my W won't give me permission to make that trip, as much as I'd like to...
Besides, I'd be too afraid of husky noses... LOL
I'd have to make a jaunt up into Potland if I'm over there too. Yes, that was an intentional mispelling as well. I have a fellow blindie who lives there, has his MMJ card, and that's how he reefers to his town...
