Since Canada has had Twoonies and Loonies for awhile and my purse is often full of a heavy weight of them.....just wondering what your thoughts are now that the US Mint is releasing them for yet a 3rd time. Is 3rd time a charm??

Well, Kid, at least they're worth a buck.

(ducking out of the way of a purse full of Loonies and Twonies)

Seriously, though, I'm wondering how we'll deal with Washington and Jefferson coins that aren't quarters and nickels. I guess you could teach us about that, too, since all your coins used to have HRH QEII for "heads".

Now that I think about it, didn't one of your coins have QEII on the front and a beaver on the back? Canadian humour at its best.

Chris.

I personally don't like the $1 coins. I don't like 50¢ pieces either! There is a restaraunt here in town that gives the half dollars as change all the time (I don't know why, come to think of it!). I hate them! I can't wait to get rid of them. I hate using automated cashiers where the change comes in Sacajawea (however that is spelled!) dollars. I almost always use my debit card if I don't have exact change just so I don't get $1 coins back.

Maybe I'm a paper dollar elitist.

Monica

My yesterdays are all boxed up - and neatly put away.
