Well, friends, a little update on me.
Still working part-time, but I have been able to take some courses and do some creative things in writing and photography. I've got an opportunity to write a grant for an acquaintance of mine -- hesitating a bit because I'm not certain if he has the means to pay me. Aw, what the heck.
I just wrote a humor piece and sent it to a popular humor writer in the area whose writing I just adore. It would be nice if I could get him to be my mentor of sorts. Looking to publish that and another not humorous piece about living with an addicted spouse. For that one I'd have a psuedonym and change some details. But I've gotten some good feedback on that one. My children's story has stalled for the time being.
I'm thinking of starting a blog.
Haven't changed my name yet.
Considering that the ex just got married out of the blue in May and my sister, who recently shed about 30 pounds and gave me her fat clothes (thank you very much....) is getting married in October, I'm doing just fine!
My children are fine. We are enjoying the summer as much as we can, but my daughter is just coming out of several weeks of mono. Between that and work.... this summer is going too fast.
Seems quiet on the boards. Hope all of you are well.
