I've noticed several comments from members about loosing posts after typing them out. This occurs when the time spent writing the post is longer than the member's autologout time.

There are two solutions to this problem. The first solution is one that Mike mentioned, to draft your post in a wordprocessor or a text editor (such as Word or Notepad). The advantage of using a wordprocessor is that you also get a spell check of your post. After the post is completed, then you can use copy and paste to put the post in your Healing Heart window. If there are problems then you still have a copy of your text.

Another option is to change your autologout time. To do this, click on "My Account", then "Account Options". Find the Auto Logoff option and set it to your preference, then click "Save Changes".

Auto Logoff isn't the only way to loose a post, so I personally use both methods.

i have to laugh at myself here, sometimes i need to vent and do a big rave and then discover it has been too long or too late to post, despite my initial frustration, i sometimes think it might be an angel (or my mum) making sure i dont put in writing for others to see, that i just need to get out of my system. they are different things.

my mum always said "never write anything that you wouldnt tell anyone", i used to think that was a bit daft, but now with age etc, i think that is probably not a bad idea.

so even if we use word and then cut and paste it might be an idea to re read what we write and ask ourselves, is this something we would say - not just write

cheers
