Abbreviations??

I wonder whether there could be a list of popular abbreviations commonly used here on this site? I have worked out some of them but others are a complete mystery to me; for example, MC, BPD to name but two.

I am in the UK so maybe there is a 'language barrier'?!

I'm familiar with most of the abbreviations. I also checked the listing of abbrevations.

But, what is BPD?
