Adobe Photoshop "Liquify" filter

Hi All, Just want to show you the advantages for yourselves or for a great teaching aid, using this filter function called "Liquify" when trying to get the profiles correct for a carving. I know some use Adobe while others dont but it may help out some, hopefully?
This is a before image of the Wolf I am currently working on.
[IMG][/IMG]
& I have loaded the photo & utilized the Liquify filter to stretch or shrink or move around the profiles as you can plainly see in the next image. I find that our subconscience quite often tells us when something isnt quite right & it can be tough to put your finger on it some of the time & within seconds you can see it right in front of your eyes, clearly, without jeopardizing ruining all the work you have already done.

Hope this helps!
Thanks, Robbin

I assume yoiur talkign the liquifyin' with Adobe Right? It is an amazing tool for sure! Adobe is a little scary when ya firnt get into it but it is a matter of just follin with all the features I found the best way to learn what ya need. Not cold enough here to actually freeze yet Bill but I am sure it is on it's way soon.
Thanks, Robbin

I did a split screen using the forum page. I studied both pictures. They are identical from my point of view. What differences am I supposed to be seeing?

Funny I see you talking about Adobe Photo Shop this morning. I have that new Microsoft Vista. My old photoshop software did not work so I bought Adobe photo shop. All I want to do is print out a few pictures. I have been working for 45 minutes! Ready to go turn on my old computer. You do give me hope that maybe if I get out the book, I might be able to figure it out. Thanks for sharing Robbin.

Hi Bob

Hi, if you look at the line of the wolfs back you will see in the 2nd pic it is curved in towards his torso rather than outward in the 1st pic. THere arent 20 differences to find. sorry for the confusion & your video card annot possibly remove this from the images. Hope you can see this!
Thanks, Robbin

Robbin that is some valuable informaion, I was about ready to take the program off my computer and I buy a no brainer like on my other computer. I think I have foud an easier way of taking off excess weight besides the dreadful diet.. Liquify!

Hilareous!

December 11 2007, 4:26 AM

You guys are hilareous, never though about the weight loss or gaining the specific points in this way, HE HE. Once you try this tool it is amazing how easy it is to see these proportion & profile aspects clearly in seconds.
Thanks, Robbin
