Let the grain take the strain, growth rings can be followed as a shaping aid, feather detail is created by burning heavy and sand blasting to lift the grain and give the timber a driftwood, stressed timber effect.

Couldn't agree with you more Dick, Onwards and upwards I say. I'm grabbing a cuppa and heading out to the carving pit for some much needed r & r and time with some round logs just waiting to be carved.

Love your slotted chairs with the relief work.

Things are a little tense now and your break is a wonderful idea.
