This post is about warmth at Ridgway and not for displaying a favorite team please.

The Big news all week has been the exceptionally cold Football game that will be on TV this afternoon, with pregame starting at 5:00 pm central time on the Fox channel. It doesn't matter what network or weather channel you happen to watch, everyone is doing, an indepth study to staying warm at this game. The game is supposed to start around 3 degrees and drop. Wind chill is supposed to hit plus 20 below.

There has been some wonderful insight and tricks to enjoying the outdoors and still being warm regardless of the temperatures. I'm sure there will be a bunch of discussion in the pregame show on how the fans will battle the cold. Some of these hints or tricks could come in handy for those heading to Ridgway.

Ridgway has had days that have been in the 40's and days that have been considerably colder. So we all have to prepare for both ends of the spectrum.

I know football isn't everyone's cup of tea, but you might find some helpful hints.

Have a nice day,
Jerry

Menards Stores has their ski gloves on sale for $1.99 right now until Feb. 3rd. Bought myself 7 pairs yesterday. They work great in this kind of weather. Stay warm everybody.

HOT TOES

You stick them to your socks before putting on your boots. You shake 'em up and they warm up. You can put them under or on top of (or both) your feet and keeps them toasty warm for 6-8 hours.

I LOVE THEM!

You can get hand ones, entire foot ones (not worth it), for theraputic use ...

Wore them every day at Ridgway last year

heat'er up

I had 3 days off and couldn't carve a lick outside due to the extreme cold. More the wind chill (-35) than still air.

I wondered if those Icy/Hot pads might come in useful. I want some heat, but not the bulk, in my gloves so as not to affect my grip. These adhesive pads stay hot for hours. Thought maybe it would be worth a try on my forearms.
