MASTER of the CHAINSAW to be on DISCOVERY CHANNELS TIME WARP
On March 19th of this year, Brian Ruth hit a milestone in his career. It was the 30 year anniversary of his first chainsaw carving, which has been his sole means of income ever since. October of last year he had a patent application published and this September the book he co-authored with his wife, Jen will be released. He started Masters of the Chainsaw in 1992- the first agency dedicated to performance chainsaw carving. He has been performing and teaching in Japan since 1995 and is recognized for introducing and propagating chainsaw art in Japan. He has won numerous national and international chainsaw carving competitions. He helped develop and introduce to America the first chainsaw made for carving in 2005 and is proud to be sponsored by Husqvarna power equipment. The big news of the day is his upcoming appearance on the Discovery Channel this Wednesday, that's tomorrow night at 8:00 pm. The show is called Time Warp and it will replay at 11pm. They film at super high speed so the playback is super slow motion and crystal clear. They filmed him for two days cutting all kinds of stuff, it should be very interesting to say the least. They are featuring Metallica, the heavy metal band but brian and his chainsaw should have about twelve minutes of air time. "I did a couple carvings but the rest of what they filmed is totally unconventional chainsaw cutting. You'll have to see it to believe it".

Congratulations Brian and Jen.

Hi Dave,

Since we do most of our communicating on our other board (Carving Post), we use this board for Guild announcements mainly lately. That way we don't have to bore the non-members at the CP with member business. This board still has the traffic it always had, just less posting.

Have a nice day,
Jerry
