Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to setup an autograph forum. Since most COAs are junk and even the experts (ie. PSA/DNA) have had a few major problems of late, it is up to the buyer to be educated. I bet there are alot of forum members here that could help someone who is interested in autograph but needs a little help. Any thoughts?
Uch, no more forums. We have SIX forums already and we're barely filling any of them.
I say keep posting here and if it gets to the point that the site is overwhelmed with autograph talk (we should all hope this site take off to that degree), then you make another forum for it.
Six forums and we're barely filling any of them? Come on! It's been just over two weeks! What's with the attitude? I think people are doing a great job filling the forums.
I think the site's off to a great start, but I don't think you need to continue to subdivide the forums (which asks visitors to check into multiple forums to see if there's any new discussion or posts) when each forum may only be getting one or two new topics a day (sometimes less).
Some visitors (like myself) may simply take to ignoring the other forums and just checking in on the general discussion forum. That means fewer threads and posts are read and responded to than might otherwise be the case.
You seem to be creating new forums in anticipation of posting, instead of in reaction to a need a for them.
I would say relax, and let the site dictate it's structure on its own.
Let's just do it here. Most of us collect a wide variety of items including game used equipment, autographs, etc. A forum on autos would run out of topics of discussion quickly. I enjoy the variety here and don't find it compromises the board at all. If anything, it expands the collector base that visits.
I have over 2,000 autographs in my collection. So, I am not against autographs. But what is there to discuss?? Autogaphs on jerseys are vandalism! This site has the potential to last a while. I think it is off to a roaring start! Keep it "Game Used Memorabilia"!
Maybe there should be a another forum for autographs away from the Game Used forum. Autographs probably don't belong with this type of forum. Never mind.
