Lesson I Learned From Game Used Forum

Because of every story I have heard in the last week- between what Steve Misturini's company did, the listings on American Memorabilia of signed game used jerseys with ASI stickers that appear to be untouched- I'm done buying current NFL jerseys- especially any that are signed, unless it's from the NFL. Damn shame. Dealers ruined that part of the hobby.

Just my opinion.

Matt,

Unless a piece of current NFL game used equipment has team, player, or league documentation, you have good reason to be cautious. Your advice regarding steering clear of auto'd "game used" jerseys is also wise. The only issue I would take with regard to what you said is your blanket comment that "dealers ruined that part of the hobby". Steve Misturini and his network of junk peddlers do not represent all dealers. Many dealers who specialize in game used NFL equipment (like Jim Yackel, Bernie Gernay, and Meigray) are reputable, honest, and are GREAT sources for modern game used NFL equipment. Just my two cents.
