Possible Bunning Jersey?

I was asked to look at an item in the American Memorbilla Auction:

http://www.americanmemorabilia.com/Auction_Item.asp?auction_id=14354&aucsearch=flannel&anyallexact=any&ubperiod=&auccat=&auclisttype=&tfm_orderby=&tfm_order=&offset=0

The jersey is listed as an early to mid-60s Tigers road, player unknown.

The style is was worn througout the 1960s.
The MacGregor tag is 1961-1967. Rawlings began making Tiger roads in 1968.

The #14 is said to be original.

Two players wote that number during this period..Jim Bunning (1956-1963) and Dave Wickersham (1964-1967).

The size is approriate for both.

It is mentioned that there are no tags in the tail. If it is 1961-1962, it should be missing a flag tag..post 1962 would include the MacGregor tag that would include a year/set tag and laundry instructions..I don't know if there is evidence that these tags were present. You may want to ask as this is important if you think you might be getting a Bunning jersey. If the laundry instructions are present, that can help date the jersey as well because those changed around 1965..

Although Mike contacted me, in cases where I am questioned by way of this forum, I will post any answers for all to see.

Cheers,
Dave
