Re: This Thread Is For Me- How Did You Hear About The Forum?

Eric,
First off I commend you for your work on allowing people to discuss Game Used memorabilia. I was a long time fan of the 'Vintage Baseball Card' forum and I frequented there. I found your site several months ago on a 'Bushing thread' that was directed from the 'VBC'. I collect vintage cards, game used equipment and autographs.
Suggestion: Give the autograph people a place to discuss. They kind of got tossed out of the 'VBC' when they started posting and the die-hard tobacco people complained. You'll get those people to come here in droves. Either way, great job, keep it up and I'll log in several times a day as I do now.
Someone(Eric?) emailed me and I didn't know who it was.. think they got the email from the other site that we tried to revive but it was a lost cause. This one is much better anyways.. the wealth of knowledge is invaluable.
Thank you for allowing me to join your forum. I see some familiar and some new names. There is no other person in this hobby or in my life that has had as positive effect as Murf Denny, I consider him to be in a class by himself.
Larry Pelliccioni
Eric, I heard about this board originally from the VBC board and lurked quite a bit. After the vintage memorabilia nuts were run off from the VBC board and you started up that forum, I have stayed at this new home.

I was informed by Rob Steinmetz and his website. I have visited this site daily and am glad I did. I learn new things about this hobby and even post from time to time. Thanks for all the work you put into it! It is appreciated.
Mr yackel should me this site when i bought a fake deion jersey. he should me the post that u said about the peole ever since then ive been hooked greatest site ever for game used knowledge.
Rob Steinmetz and Howard Wolf told me about the site early on, and I am grateful to them (and you) every day for it...great site. I continues to pass the word on to others, as well, of course.
I emailed Grey Flannel about an Erving jersey I saw on eBay, with their COA. Rich Russek told me to give him a call (to discuss, I assumed) and he kept going on about some Howard guy and what he was saying on some message board. I had no clue what he was talking about. I was hoping to discuss the jersey, but I heard more about some message board, that I'd never heard of. I finally asked RR the name of the board and he said it was something like "web site 51".
How dumb can a person be? - - - - instead of talking to you about the jersey that you were interested in (that they authenticated), he indirectly pointed you to this forum where his company has been highly scrutinized and criticized. That's so funny. However you found the forum, Greg, welcome aboard! - - - - - -
PS - - - Howard W. - you're famous!
I heard about this site from Joe Phillips Glovecollector newsletter. I've been collecting baseball gloves for the past ten years and hope to use this forum to exchange information with fellow collectors
I see new names logged in every day on this site. welcome to you all. Look forward to your posts. If you're a novice or an expert, we want to hear from you.
Andrew Lang from Allstarsplus told me about this site when I had questions about game used gloves. Another member just yesterday saved me over $3,800 by giving me more info on a game used item. Thank you very much. Mike
Heard about Forum while using Google to research a jersey I own. It ends up a Forum member helped me find the answer that I originally used Google for.
a member told me because it just so happens that he was bidding on something on ebay that wasn't what he thought it was and i warned him about buying it. i forgot his name; dave o'brien i believe. anyway. it's been great! been meeting great people and learning too!

Hi Eric,
I discovered the Forum via links from authenticgamers.com (Rob Steinmetz) & Jim's Jerseys (Jim Yackel). Fellow forum members have not only saved me several thousands of $$$ over the past year, but they have also immeasurably increased my enjoyment of this wonderful hobby. Thanks & keep up the fantastic work - we could never truly thank you enough for this wonderful service!!
