the tags by sand-knit and starter that state made exclusively for a team. are they made available in retail outlets or are these pieces manufactered for the teams??? can you be sure that these exclusive tags are really legit, or maybe the company made far too many for the teams to purchase??? are they at least game issued??? thanks, jeff

MacGregor Sand-Knit made NFL and NBA "store bought" jerseys with exclusive tags in the late 80s. These shirts have no name on back, because there was no agreement with the players' unions from both leagues. I have also seen NFL jerseys made by Medalist Sand Knit with exclusive tags.

I have also seen the Starter exclusive tag (college and Pro) on retail items.
