Folks,

In both last nights O's vs Red Sox Game and again tonight, I thought I saw what appears to be a bat boy in the O's dugout wearing #25, a Palmero jersey with name on the back..Did anyone else see something like this?

I just noticed that myself. I think that is Palmiero's son. He was the Orioles bat boy at times last year.

David Segui's son would often appear as the O's bat boy wearing Dad's # during Segui's stay in Baltimore.

Was Segui's son on the DL every time you turned around too?

I wanted to mention this last night but it slipt my mind..This also relates to an aspect of "I think I am seeing things." Watching David Wells pitch the other night, I noticed he was wearing #16 on the mound. Wells is a huge fan of the Babe and took that number when he came to Boston this year. It seems he decided to swap numbers with Edgar Renteria..swap is a kind phrasing as apparently this was a cash-n-trade deal.

I have heard of players giving up numbers when a star hit town, but this is sort of interesting...Does anyone know of any other examples of in season swaps like this?
