I have notice Broadway Rick's Strike Zone has been advertising a lot in SCD recently about upcoming auctions,

Is this the same Broadway Rick who MSNBC wrote about for shill bidding?

Broadway Rick-be extremely careful!

June 8 2005, 12:41 PM

Yes, this is the same Broadway Rick that was accused of shill bidding.

For the experienced uniform collector, Broadway Rick Cole is not new to the hobby. He has been around for years, and his reputation speaks for itself. I have had several dealings with him, all bad. I purchased 2 Phillies flannels that he described as "PERFECT". I have seen Swiss Cheese that has lesss holes in it! There were so many moth holes on these jerseys, I TRIED to return them to him for a refund, only to be told that "all sales are final". Folks, I may have been born at night, but it was not last night! After demanding my money back and informing Rick that he was forcing my hand at getting a lawyer and the post master general involved (mail fraud), he refunded my money. Likewise, a fellow collector purchased an old Indians wool jacket that was also described as "perfect", only to find out it looked like a beat-up, well worn rag. My friend also had to beg and plead for a refund.

Life is too short to have to deal with these types of hucksters. Broadway Rick may have a new public relations and marketing firm, but a tiger does not change its stripes!

To Howard - - - - - well-stated. See my other post in this thread. I concur wholeheartedly. This guy is BAD NEWS. - - - - I am officially nicknaming him Fraudway Rick.

The one and only Broadway Rick - FRAUD

June 8 2005, 12:48 PM

Yes, that's the same guy - - - - - anyone else would have put his head in the sand and disappeared. Not this guy. I would not bid in this guy's auctions with my enemy's money, never mind my own! - - - - - I consider him to be a complete fraud. - - - - - Eric, please don't edit this post - this guy admitted to fraudulently shilling up the bids on his auctions (ripping off the very bidders who were trusting him enough to bid on his auctions and do business with him) and everyone should know this (I am happy that Daniel started this thread). - - - - - this behavior goes to his character - - - - - enough said. Stuff like this makes me want to vomit.

Broadway Rick's Negative Feedback

August 10 2005, 1:22 PM

Good afternoon forum members

People on this site have been talking about Broadway Rick's lots being improperly described. For those considering buying from him (be it on ebay or in his own upcoming auction) here is the negative feedback people have left for him. It's a fun read! Granted, he has received 6947 positives but here are the complaints. Enjoy!
