HI ALL,
I AM NEW TO THE FORUM BUT HAVE BEEN AN OBSERVER FOR ABOUT A MONTH. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE HERE CAN PROVIDE ME A LIST OF DEALERS THAT ARE HONEST AND LEGIT IN THE GAME USED INDUSTRY.

ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THIS SITE IS BY FAR THE BEST RESOURCE FOR COLLECTORS AND I THANK YOU FOR THAT.

THANKS
PORSCHE

#1 on my list

June 28 2005, 4:14 PM

Welcome to the board.

At the top of my list of trustworthy dealers is a person I have done a lot of business with. In my experience he is far and away the best dealer around and a really decent guy.

Rob Steinmetz at Authenticgamers.com

Here's the link http://www.authenticgamers.com

100% money in the bank, stand up guy and he knows his stuff

That's all I got

Trusted Dealers

I have to agree with Eric. Rob Steinmetz is one of the best. The most ethical dealers in the industry! Also need to mention Jim Yackel, another honest dealer in the industry

Eric,

I agree that Rob Steinmetz (AuthenticGamers.com) is a great guy and I've also particularly enjoyed working with a handful of other dealers over the years (all of whom I've found to be very knowledgeable and trustworthy), including Howard Wolf (H. Blake Wolf Sports), Brad Horne (Authentic Sports Memorabilia), Ron Fukushima (California Sports Investments), and Keith Vari (was with Lelands, now with Grey Flannel - not really a dealer, per se, but similar in that he is involved in acquisitions, auction house sales, etc.). This is not an exhaustive list, though these guys do pop into my mind when I think of people I trust and with whom I've enjoyed doing business.

Rob Steinmetz

Rob Steinmetz is a really reliable source for game used stuff. I bought from him and found photo matches to my jersey. Real stand up guy. Can't go wrong. But remember, in this hobby, you need to do your homework and really be sure about what you are buying before you spend your $. It will pay off in the end. Best of luck.

I have dealt with John Taube for well over 10 years now. For my money, he is one the most reliable guys in the hobby. If you are interested in dealing with bats he is the guy to see. His web site is www.gameusedbats.com

I like my jerseys beat to death, for football and hockey, and with good use in baseball. I recommend Hartel Sports, Jim Yackel, MeiGray,Joe Toman at J&J and Ball Park Heroes, all honest dealers, all backing up everything they sell. I've never gotten anything even questionable from any of these folks, buy from any of them and you can't go wrong.

MeiGray is top-notch. Great communication, super service, fast shipping and classy packaging. Now we need them to carry more MLB teams...I know Barry is working on it!

Matt @ Splinters from the Pine ( ebay ) is also another solid individual to deal with.

Although I've never purchased from Rob ( authenticgamers.com )he seems to be an upstanding individual in this business based on my communication with him.

Best of luck...and do your research!

Mike
