Hello i was on ebay and i seen a deion sanders game used jersey selling on there. the weird thing is that it is a rusell jersey. I thought when deion got to the cowboys the first year they wore apex or ripon and then after that nike. i know it comes with a coa from lou lampson and scd but im not sure they wore russell please help me with this matter before i bid. thanx so much.

yeah you are right !!!
deion sanders did not wear russell while playing for the cowboys, but he worn russell while playing for the atlanta falcons.
he started playing for cowboys in 1995 season and to 1999 season, possible the cowboys uniforms was apex to nike at end of 1999 season

where did LOU get the idea that this is his game jersey by russell ??? this is his major mistake !

Check with Jim Yackel (jimyackel.com) about the history of Cowboys jerseys. He may shed some light on this. Are you sure about brands of jerseys worn during Sanders time there?

Good question that was raised in an earlier post-what is the status of the green St. Patricks Ripken jersey? Dan, you out there????????

i did my research and yes yackels site was one of them.
and I KNOW cowboys did not wear russell after 1993 when they changed to apex for 1994 season.

dallas started use apex during 1993 season, not the 1994 season. sorry about that
just checked with my collection and i have cowboys game issued aikman with the 1993 taggin and autoed him aikman. and thats how i know.

Maybe there is room for you to become an authenticator! I did see an earlier post by a person looking for authenticators!

The reason I asked my earlier question was to show how easy it was for you to determine that the Sanders jersey is not the correct brand. How long did it take you-maybe 30 minutes? Was it difficult research-I'll bet not.

As such, if you were able to determine which brand of jersey(s) were worn by the Cowboys for a certain year, why are the same steps not being taken by those writing the letters? Who wrote this all-important letter on the Sanders?

Maybe we have another case for "The Peoples Court" and another authenticator who can try to get out of being held accountable by simply claiming "I made a mistake" or better yet, "the letter reads "opinion" on the bottom, not "Authenticity".

i dont know where to start until i read about jerseyvault looking for authenticator and i did email him.

Yet, it took me less than 15 mintues and easy to find....
PLUS my 1993 aikman game jersey by apex.
