Even though Grey Flannel contiues to befuddle knowledgable collectors with both questionable auction items and interesting letters of "opinion", their relationship with the Basketball Hall of Fame will likely never be severed. Regardless of GF's actions, Mike Brooslin (HOF Curator) and Rich Russik (GF Owner) are self proclaimed best friends, a relationship that existed long before GF became the hobby giant it is today. This "best friends" information was spoken directly to me by both Brooslin and Russik in separate phone conversations, so I can really say that my sources are "impeccable."
It always remains to be seen just how much heat any friendship can endure .... especially when it extends out into the free market and there may be $$$$ at stake.
So, neither should you hold your breath ... nor should you be surprised at any turn of events.
In other words, never say "never".
