Dear Client
We want to thank you all of you who participated in our June auction. It was our most successful one to date. Our next auction is scheduled for Dec 8th and 9th. It figures to be the best auction in the hobby's history. We are extremely proud to announce our affiliation with Steiner Sports Marketing and the New York Yankees. Dec. 8th will be Grey Flannel's Fall Classic consignment auction and Dec 9th will be dedicated to Yankee-Steiner Collectibles. There will be incredible artifacts of baseball history from Yankee Stadium as well Yankee game used jerseys and bats all with YSC letters. We highly recommend you to consign this auction. This unprecedented event brings together the three greatest marketing names in their respective fields. Your items will receive the greatest publicity and coverage ever. This is your time to auction off your great items and to be a part of this history making event.
If anyone was wondering where all the GU stuff from Steiner's site vanished too, here is the answer.
I assume Steiner figured out the collecting public was not going to pay the outrageous prices he had on his site for this stuff, hence "LET'S HAVE ANOTHER AUCTION!"
Maybe Steiner can also provide Grey Flannel with some of the batting helmets they just obtained.
I spoke with an individual at Steiner last week about the possibility of purchasing game worn Yankees helmets. I was quoted "two" for the Jeter, and was seriously tempted ($2,000 for a legit Jeter helmet seems like a pretty good price). When I asked if he could do a little better on the price if I purchased several helmets, he indicated that "Twenty Thousand is the price, but we can take some money off if you buy several helmets". As I tried to catch my breath, I started to laugh and thought the salesperson was kidding-he was not. Needless to say, I did not tell him to box it up.
In closing, if you have interest in a Jeter game worn Yankees helmet, and win the lottery over the weekend, you may want to give Steiner a call.
