Kim,

I am glad you brought this up!!! I have voiced my concerns with XBats to many people. From my sources within the Astros, I have confirmed that Roger Clemens or the Astros DID not order or receive XBats for Roger during the 2004 or 2005 season. There is the possibility that Roger ordered them himself and had them shipped somewhere other than Minute Maid Park or Osceola County Stadium in Kissimmee, FL (Spring Training). I have seen more than 8 unique Clemens XBats offered on eBay and private sales over the last year. Also, I have confirmed he did use an XBat in at least one at bat during 2004, but is was a Adam Everett Model AE XBat, all black.

According to my contact, here is what has been ordered OR received from XBat:

Lance Berkman - 6 in Spring 2003 (All Blonde with Silver X)
Jeff Bagwell - 12 Model 35 in Spring 2004 (All black, small knob)
Jeff Bagwell - 12 Model 36 in Spring 2004 (All black, large knob, 6 with flags)
Brad Ausmus - 6 in May 2004 (Two tone, No flags)
Adam Everett - 12 in May 2004, 6 in July 2004 (All Black)
Adam Everett - 4 in Spring 2005 (Two Tone black/brown)
Humberto Quintero - Order for 24 transfered from San Diego to Houston following trade

Those are the only XBat's the Astros show to have received! I did have an e-mail from an individual through eBay offering me Jeff Kent and Roger Clemens Xbats. He claimed to have 3 Clemens ones left (All two tone) and 4 all black Jeff Kents. These were not delivered to the Astros!

Hope this info helps! Take it for what it's worth!

Thanks,

Chris Boyd
