is the hall of fame database wrong?

according to the baseball hall of fame database:

http://www.baseballhalloffame.org/exhibits/online_exhibits/dressed_to_the_nines/database.htm

during 1990-1996, the bluejays had blue alternate jerseys only in 1994. in 1995, the database shows only home whites and road greys.

yet gettyimages has numerous photos of the jays wearing blue alternates in photos with a dates in 1995.

does anyone know if the database is known to have errors or
if the jays did or did not wear blue alternates in 1995?

thanks,

Rudy.

Hall of fame database vs. Getty

The Hall of Fame database is good, but it is a little weak when it comes to alternate jerseys. It is a good resource to lead you in a general direction, but not much more than that.

Getty has some problems of its own, particulary when it comes to the dates and captions of photos. Getty is best used when you can use other data to confirm what Getty tells you (such as a patch only worn for one season, or a player who only played one season with a team etc.)

The bottom line is: There is no resource which is infallible. Do your homework.

Another good resource is Bill Henderson's uniform guide. There is a discount offered on another section of this forum.
