I think ESPN could have chosen their words a little more carefully though.

Hello Rudy-

I believe Marcus if referring to the unfortunate fact that the word used in the headline has been used by some as a racial slur....sad but true.

In this case, ESPN obviously wasn't intending anything derogatory with the caption but, as journalists, I have to agree with Marcus that they definitely should have chosen their words more carefully.

I get it, they should have had a white guy pictured with that headline and then no one would comment on it.

No big deal

So true Joel. This is a non-issue as far as I'm concerned. I think the majority of people read that and think of the Rally Monkey.

Vlad's probably more worried about how his 1/20 will effect his golf swing

The problem is during the course of a 162 (and more for playoffs) season, guys are going to slump. It is too bad when a superstar slumps in the playoffs, because it receives all the attention. I know they should step up and play great come Show-Time, but really, it is possible to slump then and it just gets thrown in their face.

The Yankees may not make the post-season without A-Rod, he just slumped at the wrong time.
