Can the names on sam bats fade even if they just sit in your house? The paint looks like it's just stamped in and looks like it can fade easy on a black bat with gold lettering. Thannks for the feedback.

Mike,

I would imagine that it can, unless it is kept in a dark area, which would help to preserve it. The richness/deepness of the SAM bat markings seems to vary a bit (this certainly is not unique to SAM bats, of course).

Mike,

I bought a black Sam Bat with silver lettering for my son back in May of 2004, his name and team are stamped on the barrel. He uses the bat 2 to 3 times a week for BP outdoors and when not in use it's leaning against a wall in his room with indirect sunlight. So far the stamped lettering has held up nicely with no fading. Looking closely at the bat, it appears that they spray a clear coat over the entire bat and that should help preserve the lettering.
