I have for sale a 1999 NY Mets game used Alt Home pinstriped #55 Orel Hershiser jersey. The jersey was purchased from Hartel Sports as they purchased the entire sets of White Pinstripe Alts and Black Alts directly from the Mets.

By using Getty Images I was able to find that this jersey was worn for sure by Orel on May 21st, 1999 vs the Phillies. Orel recored the win and pitched 6.2 innings going:

Hits - 6
Runs - 2
ER - 2
BB - 3
SO - 4

This jersey is made by AIS, is a size 48, and has a "L" flag tag. I am sure the Mets wore these jerseys for more than 1 game.. I just wanted to show photo proof that these jerseys were worn by when Orel was on the mound as well. Do a search on Getty for Mets May 21, 1999 and you will see a few photo's front and back of these jerseys being used.

I also have Hershiser's Black Alt jersey that was worn in the NLCS for game 5 (not for sale) and I also have 2 ROOKIE game used Melvin Mora jerseys from these 2 sets. Mora also scored the winning run for the Mets in the game 5 NLCS on a Olerud hit.

I have known Lee for many years - he's a great guy, but very busy and I don't think he checks his email as regularly as some of us (I'm on it 50 times a day myself, but that's probably not great either). I dropped Lee an email a couple of weeks ago and haven't heard a response, so I think it's likely he's been away from his computer for a while. Like some others, I've been amazed at how some forum members solicit information or business here on the site (whether it's buying or selling), and then, after they get genuine responses, they do not follow through and do not even attempt to make further contact. After holding an item for almost a month at a forum member's request, the buyer backed out on me just today, so I know how you feel. But Lee is not that kind of person and I'm sure he'll get back to you when he gets around to checking his email. I don't have a current phone number for him, or I'd give him a call for you.
