OT - any people with lasik on here?

With talk of Ray's cateract ops, just wondering if anyone here has had lasik and if so, how long ago and how are you making out?

I had mine done back in 2001 in T'ronna. My vision was 'CF' (counting fingers) but my eyes were -6.50 and -6.75. Eight years later I'm seeing 20-15, which is great, but I now need reading glasses for close up vision (damned aging).

So, so far it's been fantastic. Anyone else?

My wife had it done about 10 years ago

And she says it was the best money ever spent!

I told one of my work associates about it, and for years she didn't believe my wife, saying that the cost of a few thousand dollars, seems hard to part with. She decided to get it done, 2 years ago and she's now a convert; singing the praises of laser eye correction! Qoute, "Its the best money that I have ever spent!"

As with watches, do your research on the clinics that are close to you and you shouldn't have any issues.
