1979 - 80 OPC wax packs

I was doing my nightly Ebay watch and came across this one -> # 8803984680. At $5,999.00, wow. Appears that the seller got a good deal. I noticed GAI 9 & 9.5's going for $250 and $300. A little math indicates a break-up value of these 48 wax packs at $11,000 plus. What do you guys think the GAI 10 packs are worth ?

That was a good deal. But you're sending $6k to a guy with no feedback!! I've never sent a pack for grading but I'd imagine that there were about $1200 in grading fees there. It should work out well for the buyer if the transaction is finalized. I'm sure you'll see the Gai 10 packs on ebay soon. Jim.

These are unopened packs. The buyer did very well with this purchase. Psa is supposed to start grading packs soon too. Jim

A nice graded 79 pack sells for $200+. For every Gretzky you will get, you will open about 25-30 packs full of off centered commons. Keep the packs sealed and buy a nice Psa 8 Gretzky. Jim.
