Most Wanted Card

Yes, I know that advocating one of the 7 mortal sins is not a good thing. However, it is for the sake of this thread. What 3 cards that you know exist (so no Gem Mint 36-37 OPC Turk Brodas or PSA/SGC 10 66-67 Bobby Orrs)would you love to get?

For me,

(1) 1924-25 Champ's Cigarette Howie Morenz PSA 8 (my keyboard just had an electical sound from the drool)
(2) 1911-12 C55 Paddy Moran SGC 88
(3) 1910-11 C56 #8 Art Ross PSA 7 (gorgeous Haileybury sweater)

What cards do you covet of thy neighbor's?

I think it would be interesting if you knew who owned the card ..to list that too.

For me,

(1) 1911 C55 Vezina (BMW's card) I think it's SGC 88 or something like that. I should know. I held in my hands for an hour 2 months ago.

(2) 1958 Topps Bobby Hull in PSA 9. There are 3. I don't know who owns them.

(3) 1936 OPC Turk Broda in PSA 8. Tom Malito owns it.

John,

There is not Morenz PSA 8 on the POP reports. Do you know of one that exists?

PSA Pop Report

Tom,

I don't know what you're looking at or if it's just too early in the morning (without coffee, etc.), but I am looking at the 1924-25 Champ's Cigarettes Pop report right now, which shows:

PSA 1-2: 1 (which I own)
PSA 5: 1
PSA 7: 1
PSA 8: 1

It's probably a good thing I don't know who owns the PSA 7's and 8's of the Champ's Cigarettes and V129's as I would be pestering them.

BMW Sportscards has (or at least, did have) a SGC 88/8 and a SGC 96/9 C55 Vezina. The latter was placed on Ebay about 2-3 years ago for $100,000. I'm a hockey fanatic, but even that's a little much.

I'll go with the lack of coffee excuse I must've been viewing the 8Q column.

It was the 96 that I was holding, and $100k was still the price. I believe the 88 was sold.

You two are way beyond me (and my budget - even a fictional one).

I'll go with: a V252 Charlie Conacher in PSA6 - Tom knows I'm looking for a PSA7 33 Conacher from OPC to trade him.

Second, a decent C56 Ross - either one in 4.

Third, a Hamilton Ace Bailey in 4 or 5 (I know where the rest of the cards I need to complete the set are and I'll pick them up over the next year - but haven't found a decent Bailey).

Budget

Mark,

There's no way in hell my budget can justify one card for $100k!!! So the Vezina is surely a dream. The Hull in PSA 9 would probably go for much more than I'd be willing to pay as well. I doubt it looks much better than my undergraded PSA 7.
