I don't know if anyone else uses this service to the US, but what a waste of time and money!!!! Tracking that doesn't work, waaaay longer than regular mail and all for a bargain basement price of $11 and up. I have 4 guys busting my balls about their packages and I can't do a thing about it. The only way I know they received the package is if they tell me because the tracking is never updated unless I file a claim. I can't believe they can not offer a fairly priced shipping service to the US!!!! And don't anyone say Express because $17 and up does not work when you are selling $100 items. Guess I'm having a bad week. Jim.
I always use eXpress post, its like $7 to close to Toronto, $9 to anywhere in Canada and $11 to the US I believe and it always gives me updated tracking and it includes insurance up to $100 or $1 for each $100 extra I want and I have never ever (Knock on wood) lost something with it.
Andrew. I use the prepaid Express envelopes when I am sending anything to Canada but I can only use them to the US if I am sending 1 maybe 2 raw cards. Those Express envelopes to the US are for documents only and they have become pretty strict about it. I stopped trying to slip it past them. Jim.
You have to watch Canada Post as they indirectly force the people who work there to make everything air mail...when ground would be sufficient but you have to ask for ground otherwise they will give you air on everything to make more money.
Just like if you get something shipped from England, take ground (it still comes by plane, they don't put them on a steamliner anymore, well at least since the 1950's) as it will take the same amount of time getting the item at half the price.
Keeping the package under an inch is key too. Most people put multiple items in a box but if you can arrange it to be safe enough in an envelope, do it, it will save you large.
REGISTERED MAIL is the best way not as fast but safe and it comes with a signature so it will not just be left at the front door outside. keep in mind it only covers $60-100 dollars the good thing is for $1 more you can get a signature card back when its recived. Stay away from EXPIDITED its no good i can get it there faster with my bike. keep in mind if you are sending it by x-presspost always ask for a signature its only $1 more if you dont have that they can give it to your dog at the front door in there books when its been droped off at your font door its not in there hands anymore.
