Why 2 cards?

This might be a question for Bobby since he has been doing so much research into vintage cards, but I would love to hear an answer from anyone.

Why were Art Ross and Jack Marshall given 2 cards in the C56 set? I can see that Ross was a pretty big name at the time, but I don't think that Marshall was. Also, Taylor was widely popular, but he only has 1 card in the set.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Little to no information on the 1910's are available on these imperial tobacco issues. We start seeing things better in the 1920's so it seems.
