I'm just 5 cards short to complete my 54 Topps set in ExMt-NrMt condition and Rollins is one of them. At this moment there is a PSA 6 Rollins for $85.00 on ebay (Buy it now). Do you think it's a good price and I should grab it?

Elmar. Whether it's a good price or not, if it gets you one step closer it's fine. Maybe you will find it $20 cheaper, maybe you won't. Jim.

The Disease of Collecting-itis

I paraphrase someone who once told me years ago that collecting is not owning "things" as much as it is quieting that hunger and longing for what you don't have. We all know that even if you have every card of a set, it's still that missing one that drives you and consumes your collecting time. If you can afford it, then go for it. Good luck ahead of time.

Rollins

I have to agree, when you are close to finishing a set it's all about finding those few missing cards! $85 may be a little high for that card, but it may not. Just like Jim said, you may save $20, but the wait will make up for that small amount of money.

I know that when I am down to just a few cards left to finish a set, I'm usually ready to spend a little to finish it off. Since this isn't one of the more expensive cards, then it isn't that much. As long as you feel that it is worth it, then get it while you can.

What other cards do you still need for that set?

Earl

I feel the price is kind of ok in today's market for 54s...what bugging me is that beginning of this year PSA 6 Rollins wasn't sold for $47.

Earl,

I also need Irwin, Popein, Laprade, and of course, Howe but am not ready yet for this one. And wouldn't mind to upgrade a few - Gamble, Bathgate, Mohns,
Sullivan, Quackenbush, Godfrey, Reibel, Raleigh
